"The poor and needy search for water,
but there is none;
their tongues are parched with thirst.
But I the LORD will answer them;
I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
I will make rivers flow on barren heights,
and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water,
and the parched ground into springs."

But I the LORD will answer them;
I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

Isaiah 41:17-18

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Isaiah 6:8
These are just two of many that we could use. So which one is better suited for us, or can you think of one that would be just perfect! Let us know!
I like the first one!
ReplyDeleteC&R, I've just read quite a bit of your blog. You guys are wonderful - I'm SO proud to be your friend, brother and cohort.
ReplyDeleteHave a look at Isiah 43:1b-3a. It's my life verse and is good equipment for any missionary in any place. Starts w/ "Fear not..." and it's God speaking. Pretty heavy!!
And check out Isaiah 41:9,10. Terry's & Kathy's 'house girl' Sandra gave me this verse one night as I was packing our car - just after we had arrived in Bolivia. God's perfect timing for a tough time. Pretty heavy #2. Just Suggestions. K
